World Tai Chi / Qigong Day 2008 - Apr 26

Did you every wan to learn Tai Chi well come to World Tai Chi Qigong Day in Bronson/Canyon Park in Hollywood, CA on Apr. 26, 2008. It is from 8:30 am - 11:00 am. The idea is that at 10 am everyone in their respective time zones will do Tai Chi thereby linking this ancient but ever present martial art.

Vapor Eyes - Art Show - Apr 10 to Jun 1, 08

I'm participating in a group art show in downtown Los Angeles. Niche.LA Video Art, in conjunction with Vapor Brothers, present "Vapor Eyes" -- a functional art show featuring customized Vaporizers. This open juried show will be held at Niche.LA Video Art (4th Floor) and the Spring Arts Collective (Mezzanine) in the Spring Arts Tower during the Downtown Art Walk in April and May 2008.
"Vapor Eyes" opens April 10, 2008 and runs till June 1, 2008 with a Special Opening on April 20, 2008.

The Vapor Brothers first invented the first wood-box style glass on glass vaporizer in 1999. A vaporizer is a device used to release therapeutic compounds from herbs as an alternative to smoking. This will be the first art show showcasing customized Vaporizers.

I'm participating in the following photography show with 5 images from my Asia diptych series. It is on for one more week.
Cuesta College Art Gallery presents, “Thirteen: Photographers from Southern California,” a compelling multi-artist exhibit surveying the diversity of practices among contemporary photographers. These practices include traditional and experimental techniques ranging from Polaroids, photograms and scanned images to electron microscopes. Using both color and black and white formats, these artists capture images containing alien Antarctic landscapes, surreal sinking ships, suburban nightscapes and the mood of motion. These artists employ a variety of stylistic strategies, encompassing sequences of juxtaposed images, the touch and vitality of gesture, color-drenched abstraction, introspective photo documentation, and photographic diaries and essays.
The gallery is located at Cuesta College, just north of San Luis Obispo on Highway One. The hours are 11am to 4pm Monday–Friday. (805) 546-3102
